The weather keeps showing brooding faces at the end of July 
in New York City. 

All of a sudden, the sun comes out as if to mock us.
And then the asphalt gives off the heat.

Roll up the sleeves roughly.
Throw off the socks now.

ぐずぐずとさえない気候が続く六月の終わり、ニューヨーク。

嘲るかのごとく突如顔を出す太陽。
じりじり熱を放つアスファルト。

シャツの袖口をざくっと捲って。
靴下は今すぐ脱ぎ捨てて。
